It was the 12th victory against four losses for the Vikings while East saw its worksheet dip to 4-13.
Next up for the Hurricanes will be the first battle in the city championship series as East hosts cross-town rival West on Friday night.
Braden Howard poured in 25 points and Colby Lamb and Reed Miller had 16 apiece for the Vikings.East put three players in double figures led by Isaac Greene with 14. Jaxson Archer added 11 and Chance Stokely had 10.
Lamb scored six in the opening period as Tennessee High moved out to a 14-10 lead. Stokely scored six of East69制片厂制作传媒檚 points in the first eight minutes and Archer had the other four.
The second stanza proved to be huge for the home team. Howard pumped through 15 and Miller scored the other five as the Vikings racked up a 20-11 margin and improved their lead to 34-21. Cory Carpenter scored all five of his points in the quarter for East.
Howard came back with eight in the third and Colin Brown scored seven and the Vikings upped the count to 56-39 going into the final eight minutes of play. Archer and Greene had seven points each for the Hurricanes in the third period.
East had its best scoring quarter in the fourth when it put up 19 points but the Vikings scored 20. Anderson Noe scored six for East and Lamb had the same for the Vikings.
