A week after rushing for nearly 400 yards, Jefferson County running back Skylar Thomas toted the rock 18 times for 206 yards and three touchdowns in the first half as the Patriots downed Cocke County 49-6 Friday night at home.
With his latest game, the Patriot - somewhat appropriately - has 1,776 yards, 111 yards short of the Jefferson County record.

Spencer Moore got Cocke County on the board in the third quarter with an 11 yard rush.
Makai Martin punched in a two yard touchdown run in the third to end all scoring. Kole Wunschel made all seven PAT attempts for Jefferson County.
Cocke County finished the game with 99 yards of offense, 33 on the ground on 23 carries and 76 air yards on 9 of 15 passing.
Jefferson County carried the ball 25 times for 271 yards while also hitting 9 of15 passing but for 117 yards.
Jefferson County also sacked Cocke County passers five times.
Martin finished with 53 yards on the ground for the Patriots while Daniel Price led Cocke County with 23 yards on seven carries.
Moore was 9 of 13 for the Fighting Cocke passing with two introspections.
